The Fourth of July in Las Vegas is always a party celebrating Independence Day with fireworks, parades, barbecues, parties, and live music. The Strip usually gets crowded with tourists during the holiday, since many resorts and casinos host fireworks displays every year, and the natives congregate. Most casinos and resorts host pre-parties and events before and after the fireworks. We’ve put together a list of a few destinations for you to enjoy the festivities.
Fireworks start at Caesars Palace on Thursday, July 4th, at 9:15 PM. A number of visitors and Las Vegans watch from the pedestrian bridge between Bally’s and the Bellagio which is rumored to have great views of the show. Most casinos, Caesars included, have viewing parties and drink specials at their various bars and restaurants. For more fun, right across the street from the Caesars Palace’s fireworks in the Linq Promenade, enjoy the red, white and blue LED light parade before the show.
The growing neighborhood of Henderson hosts its own firework display. It begins around 9PM on July 4th at Heritage Park. This event is family-friendly and is a great show if you live in or around the city. The pre-party activities begin at 6PM and include live entertainment, games for the kids, and plenty of options to enjoy a picnic atmosphere sitting on a blanket in the park. Free admission and parking make this event easily accessible. Take in the fun of a warm summer night and experience how the fireworks show in Henderson can be a real treat in the park.
Summerlin Fireworks on July 4th
Summerlin rocks the Independence Day celebration with not one but two fireworks shows at the Red Rock Station resort, as well as another display at the newly-constructed minor league park where the Aviators will be taking on the Reno Aces in the Las Vegas Ballpark on July 3rd after the game. Summerlin’s second display starts at 9PM but the food and beverages begin around 6PM. If I were you, I’d get there early so you can claim your spot on the grass and explore the scene. General admission is $10 each and $25 for a four-pack which includes lawn access, music, fireworks, and access to food and beverage vendors. The second show is at Red Rock Station, along with fireworks at the impressive new minor league baseball stadium: Las Vegas Ballpark. Like with many other baseball teams, the Las Vegas Aviators ball club typically hosts an after-game fireworks display as well. This year in the park, the celebration will be on Wednesday July 3rd, against the Reno Aces. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. and fireworks will light up after the game. Get your tickets early!
Green Valley Ranch
On July 5th, Green Valley Ranch hosts an evening of spectacular lights exploding in the night sky. Beginning at 6 PM Green Valley Ranch features concerts and events leading up to the fireworks show. Because of the huge demand to see the fireworks and limited parking at the GVR Golf Club, the resort will provide free shuttle service to and from the golf course starting at 6:15 PM. In 2018, fireworks were shot above the lake on Saturday July 7th. In years past, the Henderson Symphony Orchestra has played in the park before the fireworks. More concerts and entertainment round out the experience of watching the fireworks and enjoying the country club in the evening hours.
